Maria Biardzka is an editorial and fashion photographer based in Zurich, working internationally, with a practice at the intersection of fashion and cinema. Specializing in backstage photography, she shoots regularly at the Paris, Milan, London, Copenhagen, and Tokyo fashion weeks. An accredited photographer at the Cannes Film Festival since 2021, she also works at the Venice Film Festival and other cultural events. Beyond the shows and festivals, she collaborates with magazines on photography editorials and writes fashion features and artist interviews.
Photography is a parallel practice to her primary profession in quantitative finance. A CFA charterholder, Maria has more than eight years' experience designing and running systematic trading strategies across FX, equities, fixed income, and commodities, most recently at an institutional asset manager in Switzerland.
